Description

Story Excerpt:

Decades of teamwork and personal sacrifice had come to fruition–a singularity of creation. His workstation speakers woke from standby. An electronic voice, oscillating in pitch and tone, settled into a rhythmic, neutral tenor. “Hello, Mark.”

Thank you for considering a review. To help spread the word you can also review The New Unknown on Amazon and Smashwords.

The New Unknown is an absolute pleasure to read. It’s classic sci-fi uplifted by a talented modern voice and beautiful artwork that I wish more writers would have the courage to utilize. If Malcolm Sterling continues to produce quality stories like this, he won’t be the “new unknown” in the writing world for very long.

  3. G. L. Dearman (verified owner)

The New Unknown is the successor to the works of Asimov, Clarke, and Heinlein, exploring the places—both promising and dark—to which technology could take us. Malcolm Sterling’s take on artificial intelligence is well worth a read.

  4. Amy (verified owner)

I absolutely love this story. With all the discussion about about the future of AI, this story allows us to envision one possible future outcome – one that considers the needs of what is essentially a new life form. Beautifully written and incredibly creative.
